Who posts bounties

Operators who know the deal they want.

You describe the property down to the block, the mix, and the margin. We route it to people close to supply. You only pay when a deal closes.

01 · Flippers & BRRRR

You can see the renovation.

Distressed, dated, or mis-priced homes in a specific neighbourhood. Instead of driving for dollars and sending letters, post the criteria and let locals who see those houses every day send them to you.

02 · Developers & builders

You need the site, not the listing.

Lots, assemblies, and redevelopment candidates that will never hit MLS. Specify the zoning, frontage, and maximum price — hunters who work the neighbourhood surface the owners before anyone lists.

03 · Buy-and-hold operators

You want the right door at the right price.

Multi-unit, specific cap rate, specific corridor. Bounties outsource the search without the retainer. You stay on underwriting — the network handles the sourcing.

Four steps

Apply. Post. Pay only on closing.

No retainers, no hourly sourcing fees, no exclusivity. Every bounty is funded up front; the reward is charged to your card only when you accept a match, and transfers to the hunter via Stripe Connect once the deal closes.

01 Apply

Verify your business.

Submit your details after you create an account. Business verification is typically reviewed within 1 business day. Required once, not per bounty.

02 Post

Describe the property you want.

Neighbourhood, property type, unit mix, ceiling price, the reward. Fund the bounty via Stripe — you only pay the platform & processing fees up front; the reward itself is charged off-session when you accept a match. Cancel any time before matching.

03 Review

Vet submissions. Investigate the best.

You see every submission with photos, address, asking price, and seller contact. Move the ones that fit to under-review so you can investigate; reject anything that doesn't. Submissions stay open until a deal actually closes.

04 Close

Pay the bounty when the deal closes.

The reward transfers to the hunter after closing (or the 7-day auto-confirm window expires). If the deal falls through, the bounty can roll back to open.

Platform integrity

Card on file. Rules enforced. Every transition logged.

Bounty rewards are charged to the buyer's card the moment they accept a match, then transfer to the hunter via Stripe Connect once both sides confirm closing. Every state change is timestamped, actor-signed, and auditable.

How payout works

the rules
  • 1

Card on file. Charged at match.

The buyer's card is saved at checkout but the reward is only charged when they accept a match — never before. Funds never sit on a platform bank balance.

  • 2

    Bounties resolve on closing.

Buyer review isn't the finish line — the bounty stays open until a deal actually closes. Only then are other submissions dismissed.

  • 3

Both sides sign, or the window expires.

Closing needs dual attestation — or the 7-day auto-confirm window. No unilateral release.

  • 4

    Paid once, ever.

The same submission transfers at most one reward. No double-pays, no replays. See the log →

Stripe Connect

Payouts move from buyer's card to hunter via Stripe Connect. Funds never touch the platform's operating balance.

Dual attestation

Close requires both sides — or an expired window. No unilateral release.

Auto-confirm sweep

Recurring job closes stalled windows. Payouts can't deadlock.

Stripe confirms, not the browser

A bounty flips to funded only when Stripe itself confirms payment.

Questions

What investors ask first.

What if no bounty hunter finds a match?

You only paid the platform fee + the 3.5% processing fee at checkout — the reward itself was never charged. On expiry or cancellation the platform fee is refunded; the processing fee is non-refundable. On a $10,000 bounty you'd get the $1,000 platform fee back; the $350 processing fee is retained.

What stops hunters from sending bad matches?

Hunters must confirm the submission meets every criterion you set before submitting. You review every submission and reject anything that doesn't fit. Hunter reputation tracks reviewed and closed submissions, so quality rises to the top.

How long does business verification take?

Typically reviewed within 1 business day. You can submit your business details as soon as you create an account. Approval is required before your first bounty goes live.

How much should I set as a reward?

Think about what the deal is worth to you and what will motivate a hunter to go find it. Most bounties range from $5,000 to $15,000 CAD. Higher rewards draw more activity and better submissions.

What if the hunter tries to go around me?

The no-circumvention clause protects you. If you close a deal with a seller a hunter introduced — on the platform or off — the bounty is owed. Every introduction is logged in the audit trail, so disputes resolve against the record.

What is the platform fee?

A flat 10% platform fee + 3.5% non-refundable payment processing pass-through, both charged at checkout. The reward itself stays on your card and is only charged off-session when you accept a matching submission. Post an $8,000 bounty: $800 platform + $280 processing = $1,080 charged today, with the $8,000 charged at match. Hunters always receive 100% of the posted reward.

Can I cancel after funding?

Yes, anytime before you accept a matching submission. The platform fee is refunded; the 3.5% processing fee is non-refundable. Once you accept a submission and the reward charges, cancellation only resolves if the deal doesn't close (via dispute).

Is my payment information safe?

We never store your card or bank details. All payments are processed by Stripe, the industry standard for marketplace payments.

Do I need a business to post a bounty?

Yes. Business verification is required before posting. It's a one-time step that protects hunters by making sure bounties are backed by real buyers with real intent.
